Basic Information

The representatives of twenty Czech and Slovak companies engaged in production, trade and research of products of iron and steel metallurgy met on November 11, 1992 in Prague in order to transfer existing joint ventures into the joint-stock company Hutnictví zeleza, a.s.. HZ,a.s. launched its activities on January 1, 1993.

In international relations, Hutnictví zeleza, a.s. uses the following trade names:

• in German: Stahlverband, AG
• in English: Steel Federation, Inc.
• in French: Fédération de l´Acier, S.A.
